Asmongold recently put out a video with comments pertaining to the Israel / Palestine war. The way he expressed his views were insensitive and impulsive (par for asmongold--he can be unfiltered and not pc), this is true.

Twitch has now banned him, a completely inappropriate response.

This isn't about Asmongold - trust me, I avoid servers he plays on. I appreciate the guy from afar.

Companies have been overreaching on free flow of ideas and information for 20 years. This is less about asmongold and more about how our internet experience and culture is being destroyed.

Google search used to return the best search results. Now companies buy their way to the top of search results (sponsored content) degrading search results substantially. A bed of nails can be returned as top result for "best cozy mattress" just because that company paid money to be sponsored.

User tracking means you only see content relevant to you by any one company's standard. However, they highly exploit that, while also selling everything you've done, or have been on the internet, and anyone you've interacted with. This means:

you are a product that companies use to sell without compensation what you see is controlled leading to censorship of information that impacts your decision making you become more and more vulnerable to scams, identity theft as AI programs learn to impersonate you or people you know to get more personal information (social engineering has gone AI!)

Companies are able to revoke their services at any point, but mostly over not having an opinion that aligns with their political affiliation. Amazon has removed a business' cloud service account, taking a website business over night. Twitch, YouTube, etc will ban a streamer from their platform, destroying their income, etc. Imagine a world where your belief system violates a large companies' belief system, and they destroy your business. Being able to financially destroy a business that fast should be illegal.

Actions like twitch reduces the diversity of content. When people live in fear of repercussions like this, authenticity goes out the door. People need money to eat so naturally, it's not a choice to stay on the "right" side of the lines that get drawn. However, nobody can even see the line and that line is quite different from person to person. It's not ok.

Social friction is how we evolve. Change starts with hard conversations, debates, and disagreements. Someone has to start the conversation though, and content creators are a huge opportunity to do that. But we can't tie their hands.

I don't want to bring politics into this forums - that is not the call out here. It is more of...this has to stop. Doesn't matter what your beliefs are, they are under fire with crap like this.

I pinged elon on my twitter account here. I'm that pissed that I'm posting something like that will make me un-hireable (that's fine, prob gonna stay self-employed) in the future:

Over $30.00 spent. It's not the size of your weapons, it's how you use them!

The latest Ranger preview looked really good. IMO, the combat has come a long way, and it’s looking like something I’ll really enjoy. How about that “flurry of arrows” ability? And also the leap over the mobs… smooth & fun looking.

Hey all! Some observations from our HL 3 run last week, along with some preparation for the future here. Long but worth the read.

    TANKS

Focus on positioning from the start of each pull Pay attention to boss facing to avoid mechanics (e.g., Shazzrah silence, future cleaves) Keep bosses away from hazards (scorched earth, arcane explosions) to give DPS better uptime Knockbacks: Warriors and druids: Minimal issue Rogues and shamans: Familiarize yourselves with snowballs and keep a stack

    DPS

Avoid danger when possible: Dodge scorched earth Drop bombs in safe spots Avoid clustering unless specified Pause DPS while tanks reposition Learn critical mechanics (e.g., scorched earth, bombs) versus what healers should cover (e.g., magma splash, shadow word pain) Consumables and World Buffs: Significantly impact performance Enable strategies we can't currently run due to DPS numbers Elevate your parses from green to blue, blue to purple, or purple to orange

    HEALERS

Ensure DPS stay alive: Example: Consistently strong DPS died over 4.84s w/o direct heals Another instance: Consistently strong DPS died over 18.46s w/o direct heals Avoidable deaths occurred during Golemagg Quick heals (Renew, PW , Chain Heal) could have prevented them With five healers, keeping others alive shouldn't be an issue. If we ever want to cut down to four and continue to see success, we first need to do it with five We'll avoid damage when possible but rely on you for unavoidable damage

    ASSIGNMENTS

Assignments are critical, not suggestions: Not using Power Infusion (PI) is as detrimental as not using Spirit of the Alpha Two Discipline Priests, but only six PIs cast PI is not an "emergency" ability; use it as instructed to maximize DPS Spirit of the Alpha ensures tanks hold threat Debuffs ensure faster kills Higher DPS = shorter fights = easier raid for all If you need help setting up macros, just ask

    PREPARATION

Seven Conflag deaths 226 FR communicated clearly ahead of raid Or dispellers aren't removing FR debuffs from trash We've been here for months; reminders shouldn't be necessary

    CONSUMABLES AND BUFFS

Consumable use needs improvement: Frequent innervate requests contrast with low mana potion usage In MC, CDs are often reserved for GFPPs, we get that Funding Your Consumes: Two days of BRE dailies (~45m total) can fund raiding twice weekly Consistent use of consumables (flasks, food buffs, potions) is noticeable on meters Raids with everyone using world buffs and consumes see greater success If everyone used consumables: Bosses die faster Healers' lives easier Raids are shorter We're all happier Extra wipes cost as much (more!) gold/time as consumes/buffs

    HELP!

If you're unfamiliar with the dailies or need help: Reach out to me, Staberoni, Kranked, or Lucinaga. The guild has many helpful players and resources. We can't help if we don't know you need it. Examples of Support: Assistance provided for HL 3 prep with mats and crafted gear. Provision of GFPPs in raid Provision of repair bots in raid We're happy to help with: Tips on earning gold Optimal world buff paths Proper gearing and rotations MC is the easiest raid; to continue succeeding, we all need to put in more effort

    THE FUTURE

We'll introduce rewards for those who consistently use consumes and contribute - we value team players. More details will come soon.

Got me a nice upgrade to my logging axe. About 70 logging aptitude now as well. That is about +18 from my picture up there. Also been trying for 10,000 fish as well. I am at about 5,700 now I think.
